WowCube Developer Launch Event
Blending brand, community, and business goals into an unforgettable experience.
The Challenge
WowCube had a bold vision but limited time. They needed:
A standout event that positioned WowCube as the next big thing in interactive gaming
Strategic access to top-tier developers and creators
A space and program that would get people playing, building, and talking
Our Approach
Sway led the full experience strategy—from concept to execution.
Strategy & Programming
We crafted a high-energy, developer-first event with a dual mission: showcase the potential of the WowCube platform and start activating the community who would build on it.
Curated the guest list with a focus on indie devs, creative technologists, and interactive storytellers
Programmed a 3-hour experience blending keynote storytelling, live demos, and hands-on development activation
Featured speakers included Nolan Bushnell (Founder of Atari) and Napoleon Smith III (TMNT Producer)
Venue & Experience Design
We secured Two Bit Circus, LA’s immersive micro-amusement park, as the perfect venue to reflect the brand’s playful, futuristic vibe.
Integrated WowCube stations with live gameplay throughout the space
Designed a networking-forward layout that encouraged natural collisions between the WowCube team and guests
Hosted a keynote-stage fireside panel and hands-on dev station activations
Marketing & Developer Engagement
In a tight window, we executed a full-funnel campaign:
Ran paid Meta and LinkedIn ads geo-targeted to SGF attendees
Partnered with Nolan and Napoleon for social amplification
Sent email campaigns to 90,000+ WowCube contacts with high developer engagement
Supported the WowCube team in personally inviting their networks for high-conversion RSVPs
The Results
Secured development interest from over 15 studios
Launched WowCube’s dev community with momentum and credibility
Garnered local press coverage and dozens of creator-driven social posts
Established a replicable format for future developer engagement events
What We Learned
Tangibility wins: letting guests touch and build with the WowCube created instant excitement
Panels are better when they feel like conversations
The right venue creates an emotional alignment between product and experience
Devs don’t want fluff—they want access, clarity, and a path to build
What’s Next
Following the event, Sway recommended a roadmap for growing WowCube’s presence:
Host regional developer mixers to maintain momentum
Anchor a presence at CES and GDC with similar programming
Launch an annual WowCube Developer Summit
