peak versus off-peak pricing calculator
Turn one weekday minimum into a full pricing grid across every day and season, so a Friday in December and a Tuesday in February each charge what they should.
Free. No sign-up. Your numbers stay yours. The rate you already charge for a Tuesday-to-Thursday event in a standard (non-holiday) month. Everything else scales from that number.
| Off season (Jan – Feb) | Shoulder season (Mar, Apr, Jul, Aug, Nov) | Peak season (May, Jun, Sep, Oct, Dec) |
|---|
Off-peak day: Tuesday to Thursday. Shoulder day: Sunday or a weeknight event. Peak day: Friday or Saturday. Swap the months around to match your own market. A ski town and a beach town do not share a peak season, but the same grid still applies.
why this matters
One minimum for every date leaves money on the table twice over. Charge your Saturday rate on a slow Tuesday and the date sits empty. Charge your Tuesday rate on a Saturday in October and you fill the space at a discount nobody asked for. The gap between the two is not a rounding error. It is most of the margin a private event program is supposed to add.
A pricing grid fixes this once. Set the weekday, standard-season number, apply a day multiplier and a season multiplier, and every date on the calendar has a defensible number attached before a host ever asks.
the grid sets the number. sway makes sure the calendar fills at it.
